Our Wedding

Our Ceremony We’ll be having our wedding ceremony atLauderdale House - a beautiful historic house nestled in Waterlow Park in Highgate - and it’s a place that’s very close to our hearts. Surrounded by greenery and overlooking the park, it feels peaceful and tucked away, while still being right in North London. We’ve spent time there over the years, walking through the park, taking in the views and enjoying the calm in the middle of the city, so it feels incredibly special to begin our wedding day somewhere that already holds so many happy memories for us. It’s intimate, relaxed and full of warmth — the perfect place for us to say our vows. After the ceremony, we’ll be staying at Lauderdale House for drinks and canapés so everyone can relax, mingle and soak up the moment before the celebrations continue. Then we’ll transport you all on to the reception venue to keep the party going for the rest of the evening. We can’t think of a more meaningful place to start the day, and we’re so excited to share it with you.

Our Reception If you’re picturing a traditional hotel wedding - ballroom, chandeliers, round tables, carpet and a hotel bar and lobby - The Depot N7 is a little different (in the best way). Instead of a classic hotel function room, it’s a cool industrial-style space in North London with exposed brick walls, high ceilings and loads of natural light. There’s a big central bar that becomes the heart of the party, and different levels (including a mezzanine) so people can mingle, chat and dip in and out of the dancefloor. There’s also a cobbled courtyard that’s perfect for welcome drinks, catching up with family or getting some fresh air between dances. And don’t worry - we’re not skipping the good food! We’ll still be sitting down together for a lovely three-course meal, so you’ll get that proper wedding dinner experience - just in a more relaxed, modern setting. The food and drinks are fantastic. Then, as proper music lovers, we’ll be dancing the night away to a DJ playing all our favourite tunes — so bring your best moves and your stamina. The dancefloor will definitely be open. It’s very much a cool London, city wedding vibe — and especially special to us because it’s in North London, where we met, where we lived, and where we first made our home together. It feels only right to celebrate this next chapter there with all of you. So think: less ballroom, more atmosphere.Less formal hotel, more great food, great music and a proper city celebration. We can’t wait to celebrate it there with you.

Our Story

Wedding Party

Our Reception venue is very central, close to the vibrant Kings Cross area of London, and there are lots of accommodation options to suit all tastes and budgets. Your choice of hotels, air bnb's and aparthotels, can all be found online. Camden, Hampstead, Highbury, Highgate, Holloway, Tufnell Park, Kentish Town are also all good options for hotel or air bnb's close to both ceremony and reception venues, but anywhere in North London or even Central London is a tube or taxi journey away. A small selection of hotels a short taxi 5 to 15 mins away: The Hilton London Angel Islington on Upper Street DoubleTree by Hilton (formerly Jury's) London Angel Kings Cross St Pancras London, Autograph Collection The Megaro Hotel - Kings Cross Premier Inn Archway The Maldron - Finsbury Park - across from tube station The Old Farmhouse Pub and Rooms - Kentish Town Road Dao by Dorsett North London - Crouch End.This is a brand new hotel in Crouch End, a lovely part of town - short bus rides rather than tube but still a short taxi ride. The ceremony is a bus ride up a steep hill from Archway Station on the Northern Line - we wouldn't recommend walking up it - hop on a bus or get a cab or Uber direct to Lauderdale House. Of course if you have friends or relatives in London who would like to put you up they may be just a taxi ride away! Do reach out if you have any questions on distances or transport options.

Accommodation

The ceremony is at Lauderdale House, Waterlow Park on Highgate Hill, London N6 5HG and is a bus ride up a steep hill from Archway Station on the Northern Line - we wouldn't recommend walking up it - hop on the 143, 210, 263 or 310 bus or get a cab or Uber direct to Lauderdale House from your accommodation.

We will provide transport from the Post-Ceremony Drinks to the Reception venue - The Depot N7, 1 North Road, London N7 9EF

If you are travelling to London for our celebration and are planning your trip, please stick around if you can for our relaxed get together 'Day 2' on Saturday evening, 10th October - Venue to be confirmed.

Getting Home or to Your Accomodation After the Reception After a wonderful evening of celebration, we want to make sure everyone can get home safely and comfortably. Our recommendation is to use Uber or another reliable rideshare service — it’s straightforward, convenient, and will get you to your hotel or home without any stress. For those who prefer a bit of adventure, the night tube (Piccadilly Line - Caledonian Road Station) and night buses run nearby, and black cabs may be available to flag down on the street. Whichever option you choose, the most important thing is to travel safely and enjoy the journey after a long day and night of celebrations.

We’ll be getting properly dressed up in our glad rags, and we suspect you might fancy doing the same!That said, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and ready for a great day (and night) out. No judgement - really, anything goes.Think smart, stylish, and celebratory - but absolutely no suffering for fashion. We fully intend to change into trainers for late night dancing!Come dressed to celebrate, dance, and have a brilliant time.
